When your brand is distinguished for sophistication and service with a personal touch, and you’re the new hotel on the hospitality scene in the oil rich party capital of the Caribbean, you’ve got to claim your market share in short time. The Hyatt Regency Trinidad opened in 2008, I had the honor of photographing their elegant and enchanting Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties in 2009 and 2010. Then in 2011, the waterfront property that is the most posh address in Port of Spain, stepped into the Carnival fete scene by hosting the ultimate all-inclusive Carnival fete–LIME. The main event was promoted by a roll-out that consisted of a media launch, the Spa Esencia Fitness Challenge, unveiling of two signature cocktails at two tasting events for early ticket holders. These premium events are among my top five best gigs ever!!
